Registration Opens on December 15th

Join us for the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon & 5K on July 12, 2025. Registration opens on December 15th at the lowest prices of the year, and then climb in stages towards race day. On opening day we started with 83 registrations before we had even advertised. That tells us that it is our regulars coming back to see us year after year, which is what we see on the race course as well. It is like a family reunion, but one that we look forward too!

Our all volunteer race committee is the backbone of this annual party. Kami and Joe have been in it since the beginning, when the race started as an Eagle Scout project. Eventually they have grown to include LaRee, Dana, Andrea, Kat, Andrea, Cathy, and Yolanda. This core group helps design and wrangle friends and family to help with water stations, registration, and contact sponsors. All for the benefit of raising money for local people and projects.

This last year we have been able to donate to a new Tropic Town playground project, that you will see at packet pickup. We donated to the local high school baseball scoreboard, as well as the local high school athletic teams and play. Your support of our community does so much good, in a place that appreciates it. Thank you runners for coming every year, and coming back with your friends the next year. Enjoy the holidays, rest up, and we’ll see you at the FINISH LINE in July!!

Packet Pick up at Tropic Town Park

Packet Pickup and Same Day Regsitration will be held at Tropic Town Park on Friday July 12 from 10-8pm. Tropic Town Park at 220 W Center has been the location for pick up since 2020, when social distancing and outdoor space was a must! We were one of the only races to still go on that year and had to submit our public health plan locally and to the State to allow us to run and keep people safe. What a time that was!

Cannonville was the first host of our finish line and some of the original runners (OGs, ORs?) may remember we were packed into the Escalante Monument Visits Center which was a great place to host the race! Lovely staff, great air conditioning, but by 2020 we had perhaps outgrown the large double doors that opened to the conference room. When Covid forced the change, Tropic has been a great support! Cannonville remains a strong support hosting our finish line, as always making this truly a community event! Set up begin Friday morning with volunteers from Cannonville youth and business owners. The greatest part about this is the willingness to support the runners experience here at Bryce Canyon, everyond can agree this is a great place to share with everyone! See you Friday!!

Deer Springs Fire

The Deer Springs Fire that is south of Bryce Canyon is well South of the race area. We plan to proceed with the race. The fire is southeast of the South end of Bryce Canyon the race is on the far north end of Bryce Canyon. The race area i not in danger of the fire. Mornings are projected to be clear for race day! Below on the map the green line is the race pathway, the balloon is Tropic and the fire area is noted well south of the race. We will keep updates coming!

2024 RACE INFORMATION

We’re opening again on December 15th for registration! We are back to the second weekend of the year and back on track. A big change this year is eliminating the tank tops as an option at registration and making them available at registration for purchase. We plan to have a little more current merchandise this year, so let us know your favorite logo for consideration.

A few things that will continue are the pricing structure, the closer to December that you register the better deal you get on your race. As time gets closer to race day prices go up. We also have in place the deferral deadline on May 31st, after that day you can transfer your bib until June 30th. The Half marathon and 5K dates are mirrored this year as well.

As always, what makes our race unique and fun are the people. Our race is a community race that gets everyone involved. The race committee is volunteers, and each water station is manned by volunteers eager to get up early and showcase our community!
